Christmas with the family!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! WE sure did! Liam's 1st Christmas was very special!! We went back home for the holidays and stayed at the Quirk house!! We had lots of family gatherings starting Christmas Eve and lasting until Saturday. It was a busy time and Liam didn't get very many naps in, but it was great to see everyone and for Liam to have his 1st Christmas with all of our family and friends made it all worth the busy schedule!!

We went home for a friends wedding last weekend and we got to spend some time with Liam's Great Grandparents. Here is a short video I caught of them together.

Just a little update here....
Cory's concrete cutting and coring business that him and 3 other guys started last September is doing really well, which is great, but the only downfall is Cory is having to drive 1.5 hours every day to and from Ashland, MO (which is near Columbia). This is where the shop is located. Therefore, Cory and I put our house on the market in October planning on moving near Columbia again. We have had about 6 or 7 people look at it but no offers, so as of today we took the house off the market for the winter. We will be placing it back on in the spring. Hopefully by then the economy and the housing market will look a little bit better for us. We are just praying that the house will sell in God's perfect timing.

I have been working every other weekend Friday through Monday and so far it is working out really well for us. I get to be home with Liam the other 10 days and either our nanny Sylvia or my Dad has been babysitting!! We are so grateful for Grandpa!!! He is the best babysitter!!

We are excited about coming home for Christmas and hope to see everyone really soon!!

Liam enjoys being naked and eating his rice cereal cause then he can make as big of a mess as he wants!! When we got done with this feeding he had cereal in his hair and all the way down to his belly button! But Yummy was it good!

3 MONTHS OLD

I can't believe Liam is already 3 months old! It has been an exciting 3 months and we have loved every minute of it! Here are some of the most recent pictures of the little man!!

Grandma and Grandpa Quirk came down for Thanksgiving! We had lots of yummy food! Then Grandpa stayed and babysat for two days while mommy and daddy worked! We had lots of fun together and I can't wait to spend more time with them both!

Baths, Smiles, and Rice Cereal

So we definitely have an eater on our hands. Even though the pediatrician said that he does not need any solid foods until 4 months we started with some rice cereal last night! The boy is hungry all the time and so he still is waking up in the middle of the night every 3 hours to eat! Very little of the cereal made in his tummy because he was wearing most of it! It was quite humorous. I tried to feed him it in his bottle and he wouldn't take it, so then I nursed him and tried the cereal on a spoon, cup feeding, and with a dropper. All of it made a HUGE mess, but I guess it will just take some time for him to get used to the new texture and taste! Hopefully soon we will get some more sleep, but if not oh well we still love everything about him!

Bumbo Time!!

Here is Liam sitting in his bumbo watching his piano play music! Now that he can hold his head up I thought this would work great and it did! He looks like he needs a remote and he would be set!!

My Ducky Robe

Here is Liam in his Ducky Bath Robe....He loves taking baths and he looked so cute in his little robe I just had to take pictures!!

Today Liam had his 2 month visit to the pediatrician! He had to get his first set of vaccines, and it sucked!!! He is not a fussy baby at all, so I am not used to him crying and boy did he ever scream LOUD and for like a whole 10 minutes! I cried with him! He is doing okay now...I think his thighs are really sore, but we gave him some Tylenol!
The better part of the visit was finding out that he weighs 12lbs 7oz and is 24inches long! He is in the 86% for his height and the 70% for his weight! Dr Adams was pleased with his progress and said that he was doing great!!
Hopefully he will do okay the next couple days and not spike a fever, but we will take it all in stride!!

The Farmer Family

Some friends that we go to church with had a costume party last night and we dressed up as a family of farmers. Liam originally had a flannel shirt on like the whole family, but he got to hot and fussy wearing it. He also had a bandana wrapped around his neck for a bib, but that ticked him off too! Instead his bandana turned into his burp rag!! I guess we should of taken pictures before he got upset!! We waited too long! HA oh well he still looked cute in his overalls! We had a good time. It was nice to get out and socialize with our friends, and some of them have kids too so we didn't have to find a sitter! Liam got to come along! He was pretty good and we were able to stay out until about 10:30pm! Wow I know late night! haha

Peekaboo Piano

My friend got us a toy called the peekaboo piano and there is a bird on top that opens and closes its wings. Liam loves it!

8 weeks old and smiling!!

Today Liam is 8 weeks old! He has grown so much and is so curious about everything around him. He smiles ALL THE TIME and it makes Cory and me smile just as much!! He has to go to the pediatrician next Wednesday for his 2 month vaccines! Boo Hoo....I might cry with him!
I am also going back to work on Sunday, but luckily I am only going back part time and my first week back I just work Sunday and Monday nights. We have a nanny coming to watch Liam during the day while I sleep!! I am nervous but not about his safety more of missing him and him missing me...I have to say he kind of is a momma's boy right now, but I am sure that will change quickly once breastfeeding is not the only thing on his mind!! HAHA
We are going to a friend's house on Friday for a little costume party...we are all dressing up in overalls and being the hillbilly family!! Easy and cheap!! It should be fun. I will post pictures of the family in our costumes.
My sister is expecting a little girl any day now and Liam is patiently waiting for his little cousin Niener to get here!! We can't wait to meet her!
Well, going to run some errands and make a diaper run...getting kind of low!!

Visiting the Family

This past weekend we traveled back home to visit family and friends. Liam got to meet a lot of new people and he did pretty good in the car! It was our first trip this far from home! What normally takes about 4 1/2 hours took us about 5 1/2 due to stopping for a diaper change and feeding, but other than that I slept while the car was moving! We had fun and hope to see you all again soon!
