Moving and Losing

MOVING

FINALLY! Praise God! We finally are going to be moving! August 1st we are moving out of our house! We found some really nice people who are going to lease our house until they can get approved to purchase. This has been an answer to prayers. Thank you everyone!!

Cory is super busy with work (which in this economy we can't complain) but he is gone all the time!! He sometime gets up at 2 or 3am and is not home until after dark! I know it is wearing on him and our car! Liam and I miss him and can't wait to live within 15 minutes of his work.

The next goal....
Cory and I are going to look at some houses next Thursday that we have scoped out on the internet. We are going to rent for awhile until we actually sell our house here in O'Fallon. Hopefully we can find something fast!
I started some packing yesterday (with some not so helpful assistance from Liam). I realized that we accumulated a lot of STUFF, CRAP, JUNK, whatever you want to call it! I am going to have to pack a little everyday until move day to get it all done!

LOSING

My mother, father, sister, and myself started a little weight loss challenge a week ago today! We all put $50 into a pot and at the end of 10 weeks who ever loses the highest percentage of weight gets the cash! Between the four of us in one week we have lost 18lbs! I personally lost 7lbs and feel so much more energetic. What can I say MONEY talks!! Good job everyone and keep up the good work!

Father's Day

We celebrated Cory's first Father's Day yesterday! It was pretty relaxed and uneventful! Cory slept in while Liam and I cooked breakfast! Then we went to church and out to lunch. We came home and Cory played his new Playstation game (his Father's Day gift) and just hung out together as a family!

Fun Times With Family

Andrea and Mari flew into St Louis on Wednesday and Grandpa and Grandma came to visit too!! We had a fun time together and I was sad to see everyone leave! We can't wait to see everyone again! Here are some pictures from our time together!

The Zoo-What an Adventure
We toughed the heat and the crowds with the babies and went to the zoo on Saturday. It was fun time and the kids really took it all in....for most of the day anyway!

The Penguins were a nice relief from the heat. Liam clapped the whole time we walked thru this exhibit. I don't know if he really liked the penguins or just the cool breeze!!

Froggy Pool Fun

Grandma found the kids a cool froggy pool. The kids loved it and enjoyed splashing around together. Thanks Grandma for thinking of such fun things for us to do!

Liam's First Cardinals Game!!

Sunday we took Liam to his first Cardinals game. Unfortunately they lost, but we all still had fun!! Liam liked to watch all the new people and also loved FredBird!! Hopefully we can take hime to many more games....winning ones!!

Here are the pictures I promised! I purchased a new camera yesterday and it is so much nicer than our old one!! Maybe I should lose things more often...hehe just kidding!!



Liam was really interested in the new camera. When I opened the box he and the dogs all thought I was opening something for them!

Liam loves to run toys across the vent to listen to the noise...sometimes he flicks the doorstop at the same time and he has his own band of instruments playing!! Maybe we have a musician on our hands!

Liam likes to climb on this chair toy we got from our neighbors....I am pretty sure he got his love of climbing from his mama! She was a climber back in her toddler days!!

9 months and counting...

Liam is nine months old as of yesterday and we have started realizing how quickly September 2nd will be here!! He has been such a joy and a blessing to us!! Although he is a handful he is worth every minute!! He is on the verge of standing by himself with out support. Every now and again he will let go and stand for a few seconds before toppling over. He is saying DaDa alot and MaMa every now and again, but sometimes he gives random objects these titles. For example, he likes yell DaDa at the phone, the wall, the dogs, or the TV. It is pretty funny!
Sorry I don't have any new pictures for this month because we lost our camera last weekend. Going to buy a new one this week!! I will post pictures ASAP!! I was called off of work on Friday night and therefore we were able to spend all day Saturday together. We went to a car show and then to the park for a picnic and some fishing. Somewhere between the two is when we lost the camera :(
We can't wait for this weekend. Nana Amy and Steve are coming to visit and we are going to go the Cardinals game on Sunday!! Front row seats! Hopefully the weather will be nice and the rain will hold off! Then next Wednesday Mari and Andrea fly into St Louis and Gramps and Grammy Quirk are coming too!! We are going to have a fun time together!! Swimming and the Zoo are some of the things we have planned!
Update on the house and moving status....
Well our house is still on the market. We lowered the price and we also put it up for lease as well. We have had a few interested in leasing it and if the right people come thru we might be moving soon!!
Well...I better go because there is a little person attached to my leg crying because he thinks when I am on the computer he needs to help me type something too! Pictures to follow soon!!
