October 26, 2011 : I had commented to Cory the night before that with the drastic drop in temperature and the storms moving in that it would probably be busy at work the next day because a lot of women's water break or go into labor during storms. I wasn't expecting it to be me! Luckily I got called off that morning from work, so I took Liam to daycare for the first time since he had been out of the hospital, and then came home to rest and do laundry. Around 11am my water broke during one of my many frequent bathroom breaks...so luckily all the mess was on the tile floor and not the carpet! I called Cory at work and he rushed home in excitement! We arrived at the hospital around 1pm and because I was not contracting much they started some pitocin around 2pm. We welcomed little Eliza Catherine at 8:06pm weighing 7lbs 4oz and measuring 20 inches long.
We thank God for the beautiful blessing she is and that she arrived to us safely and healthy!
Excited momma!
Thanks for the awesome delivery Dr Smith, Dr Winkelmann, Amanda Schoengarth and Karen Talmage!
Only 3 contractions to push her out...a lot better than the 1.5 hours to get her brother!
Karen and Amanda...wonderful nurses and great friends!
We had a wonderful delivery and couldn't be any happier!
She looked a lot like big brother when she was first born!
Liam kept calling her "it"when he met her the first time!
The four cousins! My sister and dad were supposed to leave that day for Colorado, but the snowstorms in the mountains postponed their travel until the next day! What perfect timing! The cousins all got to meet baby Eliza! Aunt Andrea was pretty happy they she decided to come before they left too!
We are so blessed!
Mimi and Pa with grand-baby Number 4! It is so awesome having them in Columbia!
What a beautiful baby she is!
What a cute little bow...it lasted about 10 minutes and fell off!
Kisses from Big Brother!
Nana drove down once she heard Eliza was on her way!
Daddy"s Girl Already!
Look at that double chin!
Going Home!
She has a good set of lungs on her!
Liam loves to hold her all by himself!
We had to take Eliza back to the hospital for her jaundice...a little "fake baking" helped!! But poor little girl had to have her heels poked a total of 11 times in a course of 6 days! :( Luckily her hospital stay was only over night! So we got to bring out little pumpkin home AGAIN on Halloween!
So, that afternoon we finally got to decorate our pumpkins that Nana got us! Liam thought it was so funny to have paint all over his hand!
Liam helped me paint this one for baby sister! He even picked out the PINK for her!
Our painted pumpkins!
Halloween night! He sure loves his baby sister!
Here's our little John Wayne...and don't just call him a Cowboy...He will correct you!
Eliza's first Halloween...5 days old and what a beautiful Ballerina!
Our beautiful sunbathing baby girl! Just gotta get rid of this jaundice! Headed in the right direction and finally done with all the heel pokes!! Praise the Lord!
Thank You everyone for all the thoughts and prayers over the past couple weeks! It has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least! I feel like we have lived at the hospital, but we are glad to be home and hope it is for good! We have been blessed with two beautiful and NOW healthy children and we Thank God every day for them!
