Little Chunk

Here is our little chunky man! I can't believe how much he has changed in just a week! He has officially outgrown many newborn outfits and fitting into some 3 month clothes. He has the cutest pot belly! He recently started to smile with intention, especially when daddy gets home! His eyes look like they are getting darker and his hair too....might be a brown hair brown eyed handsome fella!! I still go back and forth on who he looks like! Somedays he looks just like Cory and others I see a little of me, but either way just as cute as can be! We love love love having him!!

1 month old

What a month this has been! Liam is one month old today, and it has gone by so fast and pretty smoothly. We have been blessed with a very happy and content little boy. I was watching some Baby Story shows on TLC the other day and it made me realize how lucky we are to have a baby that only cries when he is hungry or wet!! I never thought I would be grateful for 3-4 hour sleep intervals, but after watching a show where the baby cried for 7 hours....I thought to myself...wow Liam is the BEST baby ever, but we already knew that!
We have been enjoying watching him grow and become more aware of his surroundings everyday. He has recently discovered the dogs and loves to watch them, and Truman (our beagle mix) likes to stare back at him....it looks like they are having a little staring contest! Liam is really starting to track objects. He especially loves his Baby Einstein play mat, and all of the toys he can look at. He also can really lift up his head during "tummy time" and hold it up for a long time...he has a strong neck. He likes to lay on his daddy's chest and look up at his fuzzy beard! Sometimes Liam even gives it a tug too! OUCH!
It has been nice spending all of this time everyday getting to know Liam and his personality...which by the way is definitely like his dad's....laid back and mellow. I love the special times that I get to spend feeding him. The bonding we have when he looks up at me while eating and gazes at my face is unexplainable. I love when he looks completely satisfied. It makes my heart melt...and I fall in love with him more each time I look at his face!
Okay, enough of the emotional mommy...
My parents came down for a few days and spent time spoiling Liam...and mommy and daddy too! My mom cooked up a LOT of food and froze it, so Cory would actually get dinner when he came home from work! HAHA Thanks MOM!
We have enjoyed this past month immensely and we are so excited for the months to come. Watching him grow and learn new things will be so special and exciting. We will keep you all posted!
Oh, and we will be back in the St Joe area the weekend of October 18th! So, hopefully we can see some of you!

Bathtime

Tonight was Liam's first real bath...and he liked it a lot better than those silly sponge baths! He even showered the kitchen wall with pee!! HaHa

Liam's 3 week Doctor visit!

Today Liam had a visit with the pediatrician. We made guesses on his weight thinking he would be around 71/2lbs-8lbs, but he surpassed all our guesses weighing in at a hefty 8lbs 8oz! Wow is he growing! The doctor said, "Well I guess he doesn't have any issues eating?" He weighed 6lbs 14oz at his last visit 2 weeks ago...eating definitely has NOT been an issue! He also grew 1/4 of an inch!

Liam has been having some issues with clogged tear ducts, which has produced a lot "eye goobers" especially after a long nap!! So, Dr Adams gave us a prescription for some antibiotic ointment and told us to massage his tear ducts! Hopefully this will clear it up soon!

Overall, the doctor said he looked great...so I guess that means Cory and I are doing pretty good taking care of him! Hard not to when he is so dang cute!

Well, someone is hungry...imagine that...so I will end with that! More pictures and videos soon!!

Photo Shoot Time!

I decided it was time for another photo shoot! Liam has grown so much and is actually looking more like us than just a newborn! He looks a lot like Cory most of the time, but every now and again I can see a glimpse of me in his face too! He is a perfect combo of us both!!
