Just a Quick Update!!

Liam finally got to go to his 6 month doctor appointment on Friday. The appointment got pushed back twice!! First Liam got a little stomach virus at the beginning of March so he could not get his vaccines until he was better. Then the Dr was going out of town for two weeks, so even though Liam will be 7 months on Thursday we made it!!! He checked out PERFECT! Like always the doctor was amazed at how tall he was! 28.5 inches (91%). He weighed in at 18lbs 12oz (54%), and his head was 45.5cm (85%). Dr Adams was very happy with his progress both in growth and developmentally!! It is awesome to hear from the doctor that WE are doing such a great job!!
Next big milestone for Liam will be his uretal surgery. For anyone that didn't know, Liam was born with Hypospadias. This is where the urethra forms on the bottom side of his penis and not in the middle. This can become an issue as he gets older, so the doctors like to take care of it between 6-12 months. I will be calling the Pediatric Urologist tomorrow to schedule a consult. Unfortunately this will mean Liam has to go under general anesthesia for surgery. I am nervous, but I have peace knowing that God will keep him safe and healthy throughout the entire procedure and recovery. I will keep you updated when the surgery will be.

Spring Is Here...

Finally nice weather has arrived!!! So, with Cory having a day off we took the opportunity to take Liam to the park. We went last evening with the dogs for a walk and since it was so nice we decided to spend today at the park again!! We packed a picnic basket and headed out for a day in the sun!! After lunch, Cory fished with not much luck. He caught one little bass and had a few other bites, but he had fun!! Liam and I walked around for awhile and watched the other kids feed the ducks and geese. Then we lounged on the blanket in the sun for awhile. Liam took a quick nap and then it was off to the playground! Liam had a lot of fun on the swing, but by the time Cory took him down the slide, Liam decided that it was time to go home for a real nap!!

Happy Half Birthday to Liam!!

It is so completely hard to believe that our BABY is 6 months old today!! People don't lie when they say it goes by WAY to FAST!! We have be so blessed with such a wonderful son and can't wait for the next 6 months to watch him grow. He makes us smile each and every day with his faces, sounds, and newly learned moves!! These are just a few pictures I took of him on our couch today!!

Here are some random pictures from the last couple of weeks. My sister and Mari came into Gower from the 12th-18th. Liam and I got to go to Gower and spend that time with them. We had a great time! Liam thinks Mari is a toy for him to play with, but I think he will soon find out that she does not like that too much.
Liam now has two teeth and drooling more than ever! He recently got a rash on his belly and boy parts.....we think it was an allergic reaction to mangos!! It is pretty much gone now. Thank God!! We won't be eating mangos again anytime soon!! Too bad, because he loved them!!
He is starting to sit up on his own when you let go of him, but he gets so excited and then he tips over! He also is scooting all over the place. I will lay him on his play mat or blanket and within minutes he off the blanket and under the coffee table!! We are going to be in for it when he figures out this crawling thing!! UH OH watch out!! I can't believe he is almost 6 months....half of a year goes by way to fast!! On one hand I am excited for him to grow and watch him learn new things, but sad for him not to be little any more. We weighed him at my parents house on Valentines and according to that scale he was 19lbs. WOW!! Mommy and Daddy's little man is not so little anymore!! But way way way more fun!!

Liam's First TOOTH!!!

Liam has his first tooth!! The little thing is finally here after many days of fussing, drooling, chewing, and lots of baby orajel. The tooth finally broke thru the skin on Thursday. It is on the bottom left side in the middle. He is going to have a second one really soon too!! I tried to take a picture of it but when I try to hold his mouth open to do so he just chews on my finger, so it didn't work out too well!!
Liam has shown interest in holding his own bottle, so today we gave him a sippy cup with handles on it to see if he would drink out of it. It was pretty funny. With the teething thing going on he was more interested in chewing on it than drinking out of it. We are going to Gower this Thursday to visit my parents and my sister and her daughter are coming to visit!! It will be so much fun to see my niece again!!
