Bathtime

Tonight was Liam's first real bath...and he liked it a lot better than those silly sponge baths! He even showered the kitchen wall with pee!! HaHa

Liam's 3 week Doctor visit!

Today Liam had a visit with the pediatrician. We made guesses on his weight thinking he would be around 71/2lbs-8lbs, but he surpassed all our guesses weighing in at a hefty 8lbs 8oz! Wow is he growing! The doctor said, "Well I guess he doesn't have any issues eating?" He weighed 6lbs 14oz at his last visit 2 weeks ago...eating definitely has NOT been an issue! He also grew 1/4 of an inch!

Liam has been having some issues with clogged tear ducts, which has produced a lot "eye goobers" especially after a long nap!! So, Dr Adams gave us a prescription for some antibiotic ointment and told us to massage his tear ducts! Hopefully this will clear it up soon!

Overall, the doctor said he looked great...so I guess that means Cory and I are doing pretty good taking care of him! Hard not to when he is so dang cute!

Photo Shoot Time!

I decided it was time for another photo shoot! Liam has grown so much and is actually looking more like us than just a newborn! He looks a lot like Cory most of the time, but every now and again I can see a glimpse of me in his face too! He is a perfect combo of us both!!

2 WEEKS OLD

"I AM A WHOLE TWO WEEKS OLD TODAY! I AM GETTING REALLY GOOD AT THIS EATING THING AND GROWING BIGGER TOO! MY FACE IS REALLY STARTING TO FILL OUT AND EVERYONE THINKS I AM LOOKING A LOT LIKE MY DADDY! CUTE...SO CUTE!! I LOVE TO MAKE FUNNY FACES AT MOMMY AND DADDY. WE ARE GOING TO GO ON OUR FIRST WALK WITH THE DOGS AND TEST OUT MY STROLLER TONIGHT AFTER DINNER. I HAVE HAD LOTS OF PEOPLE STOP BY TO SEE ME. INCLUDING MY NANA, GRANDMA AND GRANDPA QUIRK, AND LOTS OF FRIENDS! MY GRANDPA PECK IS COMING THIS WEEKEND! I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE ELSE! UNTIL THEN I WILL BE EATING, SLEEPING, AND FILLING MY DIAPERS!! SEE YOU SOON!"


Cory and I are having so much fun being parents! God has blessed us with a wonderful baby! He is so content and happy! Yesterday was my first day all by myself, and it went pretty smoothly. I was pretty tired when Cory got home from work, and was ready for a nap! Liam was a little fussier than normal Sunday night so I didn't get as much sleep, but we survived!

We want to thank everyone for all of their gifts and for stopping by to meet Liam. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

Birth Announcement

I made these announcements on the computer the other day and sent them off to be printed for mailing, but I thought I would post it too for everyone to enjoy!

ONE WEEK OLD!

"Yesterday I turned one week old!! My mom and dad survived a whole week, but only because I am such a wonderful baby! This past week has been pretty swell...just getting the hang of breastfeeding (which is pretty easy for me now), and making big messes in my diapers (which I save for dad to change). Other than that I am sleeping really well for my mom and dad to get 3-3.5 hours of sleep at a time! Here is a picture of our new family going out to dinner to celebrate my wonderful one week of life!!"

Here are a few more pictures of Liam! He is doing good, just trying to get the hang of breastfeeding. My milk finally came in and that has made is a little easier. He is a little jaundice, but nothing that a little sunbathing and pooping won't take care of! We hope to take some more family photos soon...maybe once his Nana comes on Monday to help out!!
